The museum is located at the headquarters of American Numismatic Association (ANA) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The museum exhibits a collection of 250,000 objects related to the history of numismatics. It includes the earliest money used in history up until the present day. The most notable exhibit is the Harry W. Bass Collection, which contains American gold coins, paper money and various coin and bill patterns. Aside from guided tours, the museum also offers lectures about money?s role in history, archeology, art, economics, banking, and the hobby of coin collection. The museum?s displays are open for study, or interested parties can prearrange for group study appointments.
