The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities was opened in 1976. Soon after it was opened the demand for more space increased. In 1992, the center was expanded to almost double of its original site. In December 2002, another expansion was made. In 2006, a great improvement and renovation was made.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities is composed of The Arvada History Museum; three theaters; music, theater and dance rehearsal rooms; classrooms, art galleries, amphitheater and a conference room. The Center conducts classes regarding arts, both visual and performing. It offers summer Theater workshops concerning stage plays and musical acts. These are conducted by the Center and other independent companies.

The Center houses the Arvada Center Chorale, a local choir composed of 70 members who perform around the area of Denver. The Chorale was managed by the Arvada Center until 2007.The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities ranks as the eighth largest attraction on the cultural arts on Denver area. It also ranks as the third largest in terms of theater company in the said area.
