The Boettcher Mansion, which is also known as the Lorraine Lodge in the past as well as the Charles Boettcher Summer Home, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Completed in 1917, the 110-acre property was eventually deeded to the County and became open to the public in 1975.

Besides the many lovely rooms inside the Tudor-style mansion, visitors may also enjoy exploring the property?s stone gazebo, which is surrounded by benches and equipped with its own (non-functional) fireplace. There?s also the Carriage House, which was originally a 3-bay garage. In 1986, the Carriage House was remodelled and converted into a 440 sq. foot venue available for rentals. Today, its second floor serves as the resident custodian?s home while the first floor has French doors opening to the flagstone patio outside.
