Colorado wouldn’t be just the same without Echo Lake. Its beauty is hidden near the famous Idaho Springs. It nestles in the mountains under 11,000 feet, just 13 miles from Interstate 70 of Idaho Springs.

People can do a quick hike from the lodge down to the lake. The Echo Lake Park is located on the Mount Evans Scenic Byway which is supervised by the management of Denver Mountain Parks. It has a great picnic area, perfect location for some chitchats while eating some snacks and taking pleasure from the lakes superb view. Wildlife opportunities and birding can also be enjoyed along the highway of Echo Lake. The place is also an ideal route when going to Summit County for ski resorts.
