The Georgia Veterans State Park is a state park and recreation area in Cordele, Georgia. It was created as a way to commemorate and honor US Veterans.

Covering 1308 acres, the Georgia Veterans State Park was created in 1931. It is situated on the shores of the beautiful Lake Blackshear, providing access to water related recreation. This allows visitors to enjoy swimming, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, and boating at the site. Folks can also have some fun at the privately operated Lake Blackshear Resort and Golf Club and take advantage of their 18-hole golf course, lodge rooms, cottages, restaurant, pro shop, and conference facilities. You can also learn more about the country?s military history at the museum located inside the park. It houses a collection of military memorabilia like medals, weapons, uniforms, and even vehicles from the Revolutionary War to the Gulf War.
