The Indian Springs State Park is a state park, historic site, and recreation area in Flovilla, Georgia. It is thought to be the oldest state park in all of the United States and is one of the founding units of the Georgia state park system.

Originally a public park since the 1800s, the Indian Springs State Park is named after the many springs located at the site that were once used by the Creek Indians to heal the sick. After being acquired by the state through the Treaty of Indian Springs in 1825, it was opened as a public park and then as a resort. It was turned into a state forest park in 1927 and then a state park in 1931.

Today, visitors of the Indian Springs State Park can still sample the waters at the springs. They can also enjoy swimming, boating, and fishing at the site. There’s also a seasonal museum that talks about the park’s history.
