The Moccasin Creek State Park is a state park and recreation area in Clarkesville, Georgia. It features the 2700 acre Lake Burton, best known for being one of the first lakes in the United States that was created to generate electricity.

Due to its location, the Moccasin Creek State Park offers a wide array of outdoor activities. It has facilities for lake fishing, stream fishing, hiking, canoeing, and boating just to name a few. The site also has a mile?s worth of interpretive trail and a wildlife observation tower as well as a playground. The park is also home to the Burton Fish Hatchery.

Opened in 1963, the Moccasin Creek State Park was originally ran by the Lake Burton Fish Hatchery.
