The Pueblo Zoo is situated right within the Pueblo City Park. It is home to a total of 420 animals that represent about 140 various species coming in from all parts of the world. It has a section called the Pioneer Ranch that features an opportunity for visitors to get in contact with some of the harmless animals and even get to feed the domesticated ones.

The zoo is open all year round and it is open for the babies and elders alike since the place is accessible with strollers and wheelchairs. You can also get to explore the Ecocenter which serves as a tropical rain forest and even get to see penguins fly right underwater. It is managed by the Pueblo Zoological Society and has the accreditation of the AZA.
