Located in the historic center of American clockmaking in Bristol, Connecticut, the American Clock & Watch Museum is the world?s top museum when it comes to collection of American clocks, especially 18th and late 19th century industrial era-clocks. Bristol is the hometown of the historic Ingraham Clock Company.

The museum exhibits include timepieces from all era around the world such as grandfather clocks to the popular Mickey Mouse watch. However, much of the exhibits center on American-made clocks, such as the story of Eli Terry and his successors. It is believed that the Connecticut clockmaking helped launch the industrial revolution. The museum also has a comprehensive library for the research and study of horology.
