The Bushnell Park measures about 37 acres of land and is situated next to the grounds of the Capitol. It is noted for being the first ever public park in the entire USA. It also is home to the Civil War Memorial, the statue of the Israel Putnam and the Pump House Gallery. It has the 1914 carousel that is called the Stein and Goldstein.

This park was purchased by the taxpayers then to be open for public use. It is one whole place filled with amazing history and amazing natural resources. It offers a handful of things to do like riding the carousel, taking the tree walk, or touring the arch. One can attend numerous events held regularly in the park.
