The Museum of Connecticut History, located at Hartford, Connecticut in the restored 1910 State Library and Supreme Court building, highlights the area's history in the industry, government, and military agency. With historical objects since 1910, the museum brings the people back to a time when foundations were still being established in politics and the industries.

The museum welcomes tourists in the Memorial Hall, the first spot people get to see as they enter. This hall features collections like that of the Governors Portraits and the documents like the Connecticut Royal Charter of 1662. Holding a variety of exhibits, the Museum of Connecticut History reawakens among its guests the enthusiasm in the government and the military as citizens. Permanent exhibits like the Portraits of Connecticut Governors, for example, presents 72 portraits of all governors who served in the locality.

For the kids, they have access to the Mitchelson Coin Collection which will allow them to see the former coin designs. Military-related collections such as the Colt Firearms Collection also bring back the rich military history that the country has. Lining up various items such as the Colt revolving pistol commemorating the rich history of the town's constitutional government.

With approximately 20,000 children visiting the museum, educational experience is surely something that attracts groups. Educational services like the Hand on History in Your Classroom is a program that offers outreach educational lessons brought to the classroom itself. In the museum itself, the Connecticut Invents program allows students to know about the famous and not so popular local inventors as well as their inventions.

Groups can visit together in the area. The tour combines an experience of both the museum itself and the State Capitol. Guests can also opt out of the State Capitol tour and just be focused at learning about the three-fold focus of the Museum of Connecticut History.
