The Scantic River State Park is a state park and recreation area in Enfield, Connecticut. It is composed of several areas, located in various towns around Hartford County.

Due to its scattered nature, the Scantic River State Park has a lot of things to offer. For example, the 167-acre unit at Hazardville is ideal for archery as well as deer and turkey hunting. Its Scitico unit is a linear park perfect for hiking as well as hunting small game and waterfowl. The third area covers 239 acres in East Windsor and is open to a whole bunch of recreational activities.

The best part to visiting Scantic River State Park is that it usually doesn?t require daily permit. However, make sure to follow regulations when it comes to which kind of game to hunt.
