The Wadsworth Falls State Park is a state park and recreation area in Middletown, Connecticut. It features the Wadsworth Falls, named after Clarence C. Wadsworth, a New York National Guard colonel who was also a noted linguist and scholar. Wadsworth used to own the land that is now the park and made great efforts in preserving the natural beauty of the area.

There are tons of things to see and do at the Wadsworth Falls State Park. On the top of the list is the Wadsworth Falls itself, which is located at the opposite side of the park from the main entrance. There’s also a pond with a sandy beach that is open for swimming and is monitored by lifeguards during the summer months. The park also has picnic tables, as well as a river that is ideal for fishing. There are also a good amount of nature trails used for hiking and mountain biking.
