The Wharton Brook State Park is a state park and recreation area in Wallingford, Connecticut. It is located two miles away from the Sleeping Giant State Park.

The Wharton Brook State Park has been open to the public since the early 1900s. It has initially served as a roadside rest stop to travelers who need to have their cars serviced or enjoy a quiet picnic for a change. It is the actual forerunner of the rest areas that were developed by the State Department of Transportation. In 1918, it became a park.

Today, the Wharton Brook State Park continues to provide a great venue to the public where they can enjoy some time with Mother Nature. The site, being a designated Trout Park, is ideal for fishing, swimming, and picnicking.
