Of the many European groups that settled into America, the Quakers are considered as one of the most influential in honing the country?s culture. The Quakers are several Protestant groups that arrived in the country during the 18th century and help in establishing several colonies in the region.

Because of their contributions, not only to American history, but also to its culture, the country pays high respect to these groups. In particular, the state of Delaware, which saw the largest number of Quaker arriving in the region, a large number of their former offices are now considered as national landmarks. One of these is the Appoquinimink Friends Meeting House in Odessa, which is considered as one of the smallest meeting houses in the area.
