The Bellevue State Park provides visitors many opportunities for recreation. It boasts of a 1-1/8 mile fitness track circle and a catch-and-release fishing pond stocked with bass, sunfish, and catfish. It also has an exercise trail and hiking trails for the exploration of the entire estate. Tennis and Equestrian Centers are also available.

It also provides a good place for picnic and special functions. There are tables all over the park as well as pavilions that can be reserved for big groups. The Bellevue Hall can be used for meetings and receptions. Tours of the mansion are periodically offered. Guests will have an understanding on how the Gothic Revival mansion was transformed into a replica of the Montpelier, the residence of President James Madison.
