Brandywine Zoo Delaware is located at Brandywine Park. The 13-acre Wilmington zoo rests atop the Brandywine River and serves as home to 150 animals of various species.

The Wilmington Delaware zoo is open throughout the year and offers various types of tours and programs for its visitors. Kids can participate in camping and planting activities in the Delaware zoo as well as join the zoo’s volunteer programs.

Brandywine Zoo also provides individuals and businesses with the opportunities to adopt animals from the zoo.

In 2005, Brandwine Zoo had celebrated 100 years of being in business and continues to be an active and contributing member of the premier American Zoo and Aquarium Association. Since 2004, Brandywine Zoo had been able to welcome more than 78,000 visitors.
