The Delaware History Museum is a history museum in Wilmington, Delaware. It is owned and operated by the Delaware Historical Society.
Housed in a restored 1941 Woolworth?s art deco building, the Delaware History Museum is a part of the bigger Delaware History Center, alongside the 1798 Old Town Hall, the Willingtown Square, and a series of historic houses that include the 1778 Cook-Simms House, 1801 Coxe Houses, 1748 Jacobs House, ahd the early 1770s Jacob and Obadiah Dingee Houses. The history museum features three galleries with changing interactive exhibits. They usually present everyday items from the earlier centuries like children?s toys, costumes, regional decorative arts, and paintings.
The Delaware History Museum is open on Wednesdays through Saturdays until 4 in the afternoon. School tours can be pre-scheduled.
