The Delaware State Museum is the history museum in Dover, Delaware. It features the Old State House and chronicles the history of the state’s legislature.

Built in 1787 to 1791, the Old State House is the first permanent capitol building in the city of Dover. It served as the home of the state and Kent County governments and has been the focal point of the state’s civic life for more than two centuries. After restoring it to its 18th century appearance, it was transformed into a museum to better preserve the area’s history.
The Delaware State House Museum is open on Mondays through Sundays until 4:30 in the afternoon. It is also operational on most state holidays, but call ahead to confirm whether they’re open or not.
