The John Dickinson Plantation is considered one of the finest museums in Delaware. Of the many Delaware museums, John Dickinson Plantation is the only one that had also served as the actual home or birthplace of one of the country?s founding fathers. John Dickson had not only been one of those names signed in the US Constitution; he is also known as the Penman of the Revolution.

Be sure to join any of the various tours offered at the plantation, which are all designed to enhance and enrich your visit. Unlike other museums Delaware, the John Dickinson Plantation has gone out of its way to educate its visitors about the lifestyle of both the wealthy and impoverished in the 18th and early 19th century. You can see this for yourself when you join one of the museum?s character-interpreted tours.
