The Lums Pond State Park is created in the surroundings of the biggest pond of freshwater around Delaware. Its main highlights around the area are for those visitors who like activities such as hiking and fishing. It stands on a total of 1790 acres of land right on the northern side of Delaware Canal and Chesapeake.
Swimming is the only sports activity that is not allowed but there are available boat rentals and fishing spots for those who are seeking recreation especially in the summer season. It features a ramp for launching boats and several piers so that there is utmost convenience in accessing the water. It is also the perfect place for exploring the natural environment for the young visitors.
