The Winterthur Museum is the premier center for the American Decorative Arts containing artifacts used in 1640 and 1860. Situated on a part of a 1000-acre land boasting of woodlands and rolling meadows, it has one of America's best naturalistic gardens having intricate specimen planting and an astonishing showcase of colors.

The 175-room house is originally the home of the du Pont family until 60 years ago, when collector and holticulutrist Henry Franci du Pont opened the house to the public. Winterthur then became a significant medium for studying American art and culture.

Today, it delights visitors as it offers itself as a venue for small parties and celebrations. With its period rooms and spacious grounds, intimate gatherings and tented events are always welcome.
