The Capital View Library is a very prestigious kind of library aside from the fact that it is located in the District of Columbia. It is open Mondays to Saturdays and closed during Sunday. It first opened its doors way back in 1965 and it can be found in a building that measures about 20,000 square foot. It is situated right in the very community of Capitol View which grew into becoming a residential neighborhood. When its own population grew and everyone became well established, all of them started having the need for a library.

Up to this day, they offer a variety of special collection that are helpful for basic education for adults along with a library of videos that is highly extensive. They also serve as major sponsor to events and programs that are highly interesting which also include classes called Slimnastics. They also offer a film program for the seniors and tutoring sessions for kids. They lend toys to disabled kids and even a convenient research center meant or those writing papers.
