Freemasonry is considered as one of the most influential fraternal movements in the history of America. In fact, many of the customs and rites that are used in many organizations in the country today, both governmental and private, are actually derived from the customs and traditions of this brotherhood.

Which is why many of their offices and meeting places are considered as national treasures. And in the capital city of Washington DC, one of the most notable of these buildings is the House of the Temple. The House serves as the office of the Scottish Rite chapter of the group. The building also serves as a library containing information on the chapter, as well as their literature. The building is also notable for being featured in several films.
