The Marian Koshland Science Museum is dedicated to educating the public as well as deepening their awareness and appreciation for all things related to the history and evolution of science, medicine, and engineering, especially those pertaining to research and findings made by the National Academy of Science. Majority of the museum?s exhibits are highly interactive and deal directly with nationally relevant issues. Examples of such exhibits include the Infectious Disease: Evolving Challenges to Human Health and Global Warming Facts & Our Future. The museum is named after the famous molecular biologist and immunologist Marian Koshland, who made groundbreaking discoveries in the study of antibodies. Her spouse, Daniel Koshland, also made great contributions in the field of science, particularly in bacteriology and enzyme research.
