The Meridian Hill Park has its unofficial name of Malcolm X Park. It is located in the northwestern part of Washington, DC and measures up to 12 acres of land. The construction of the entire park started in 1914 but not until 1936 that the hill made its complete status of being a formal park. By 1933, its grounds were already transferred to the hands of the National Park Service.

It was hailed as a national historical landmark by 1994. It also got recognition for being an amazing accomplishment of the Neoclassicist design of the park during the 20th century in the US. The landscape of the place remain outstanding especially during events like Earth Day is celebrated by the community.
