The Octagon Museum can be found near the White House which serves to be one of the first noblest homes ever made in the new capital of the nation. It is one noted landmark that gives emphasis to the architectural design and rich culture and history of the entire America. It was completed in the year of 1801 by the prominent Tayloe family and which was designed by William Thornton.
It was in the second floor of the museum that President Madison signed up the Treaty of Ghent to establish peace and quiet with the Great Britain. It was in 1899 when The American Institute of Architects renovated the building that has been deteriorating with its modern and state of the art changes.
