The Phillips Collection Museum has about 2000 pieces of artworks that boast of the times during the 19th and 20th century. Its founder was Duncan Phillips and hence it was named after him. It holds a permanent collection too of paintings and other art forms that are internationally known along with other temporary ones that dynamically change every season. The artists whose works are found here are Rothko, Matisse, Cezanne and El Greco.

All these collections can be seen in the original residence of the entire Phillips family. The special exhibits can be found in the first two floors of the building where the permanent collection stays. The founder himself was an odd collector and a passionate fan of art that can highlight the connection between what?s ancient and modern.
