The White House serves as the formal house of the US President. Every US president except George Washington used this as their official residence. It was first built by James Hoban way back in 1792. It was burned down by the British forces in 1814 and rebuilt by 1818. There are guided tours held where tickets are issued for free at 8am.

Moreover, numerous guests do not ever get to see the stylistic designs of the smaller rooms set in various periods. Examples of these would be the Ballroom, East Rooms, Green, Red and of course the State Dining Room.
