The African American Museum of the Arts is a history and art museum in DeLand, Florida. It is best known for being the only museum of its sort in the area that is dedicated primarily to the African American art and culture.

The African American Museum of the Arts was opened in 1994. It was founded by Irene and Maxwell Johnson with the help of a couple of influential folks in the area, some of which were related and directors of already established museums in the state. It has always featured over 150 artifacts, as well as historic items and objects from various countries in Africa. They also present a wide range of art work displays, most of which are changing, that are usually from emerging and known African American artists.
