Also known as the Amelia Island State Recreation Area is the Amelia Island State Park, located in Amelia Island, Florida. It is located just outside of Jacksonville and offers over 200 acres of wilderness.

The Amelia Island State Park is a haven for birdwatching. It is dubbed as the perfect place for viewing shore birds like brown pelicans, piping plovers, terns, and black skimmers among others. Wildlife viewing is also another very popular activity to do on the site, as some come here to chance upon seeing a rare Right Whale or Bald Eagle during winter or early spring.

Horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing are also among the top things that can be enjoyed while at the Amelia Island State Park. It also has several of beautiful beaches, slat marches, and coastal maritime forests that you can enjoy.
