The Art Deco Weekend Festival began way back in 1976 organized by the Miami Design Preservation League. It started with a mission of attracting visitors right to the historical district of the Miami Beach Art Deco. It is also aiming to raise the level of awareness and intensity of appreciation for the arts and culture in the said locality.

It is worth mentioning that in 1007, the event was able to attract about 500,000 visitors from all over the country and the world. The activities featured in the event include several tours with guides, musical concerts, a night parade, and even a dog promenade. Everywhere, you can find numerous food vendors along with events that are made for hands on activities for kids to enjoy.
