Butterfly World is a butterfly farm and park in Coconut Creek, Florida. It is best known for being the largest of its sort and the first park of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.

Butterfly World opened in 1988. It was founded by Ronald Boender who was initially a hobbyist with a great interest in butterflies. He opened the site when he found out about the need for farmed butterflies, which is also why some say that the site is a product of one man?s hobby that has gone wild.

Aside from the butterflies, people also go to the Butterfly World for its other attractions. They also have a botanical garden, aviaries, and a museum / insectarium. Visitors can also view how the butterflies are raised.
