The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art is an art museum in Winter Park, Florida. It is best known for having the world?s most comprehensive collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany?s works, as well as its vast collection of American Pottery.
Founded in 1942 by Jennette Genius McKean, the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art was named for her grandfather, Charles Hosmer Morse, an industrialist. The site started out with the personal collection of McKean and her husband, Hugh McKean.
The Tiffany collection of the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum is its core exhibit. Most of the items on display were salvaged from the Tiffany estate, Laurelton Hall, which burned down to a ruin. The displays now include the reconstructed Tiffany Chapel for the World?s Columbian Exposition of 1893 and many others.
