The Charlotte County Historical Center is a local history center and museum in Port Charlotte, Florida. It is focused on preserving and chronicling the colorful past of the County of Charlotte.

The Charlotte County Historical Center originally started off in 1969 as an effort by a number of local residents to form a small youth museum. It has always been a great local resource for information and history, which helped it stick around for almost half a century now, and allowing it to grow from its humble roots to being a county-wide center. The center is now best known for providing museum exhibits, educational programs, and preservation services today. Their headquarters also present changing exhibits that are mostly about the local and state history.
