The Civil War Soldiers Museum welcomed the public way back in 1991 and the majority of the collections you will see inside the museum were donations from Dr. Norman Haines Jr. He was a local physician who started being a collector even when he was just a tiny boy. Through his collections, you can be able to look back at the various lifestyles during the war back then.

You would find lots of artifacts, images, equipment, uniforms, art works, dioramas and even life sized camp scenes. It is filled with any kind of medical paraphernalia used during the war along with a recreated hospital with items taken from the doctor’s private collection. It has a gift shop which you can pass by before you even leave the place.
