The DeBary Hall State Historic Site has the DeBary Hall as its centerpiece and major highlight. The house was built in 1871 as a hunting and winter retreat of Frederick DeBary. The family was involved in various ventures, including the importing of Mumms Champaign. He also turned the estate into a profitable one by planting citrus trees on its 10,000 acres. He also started a steamboat company. The house served as the family retreat until the last descendant died in 1941.

The DeBary Hall State Historic Site features 10 acres of the original 10,000 acres owned by the DeBary family.
