The Discovery Island is an island in Bay Lake Florida that is a part of the Walt Disney World Resort. It was previously open to the public as a part of the amusement venue chain created by the Walt Disney Corporation.

The Discovery Island operated from 1974 to 1999. It was originally opened as the Treasure Island but was later renamed as such. It was designed to be a wildlife viewing area, with several animals available on its 11.5 acres worth of land area. The site is noted to be the home of the last known dusky seaside sparrow before they died out in 1987.

There were plans to transform the island into ?Myst Island?, with Walt Disney partnering with the makers of the Myst video game. However, the plans never materialized.
