The Edison and Ford Winter Estates is a history and living museum complex in Fort Myers, Florida. It is best noted for its relations to Thomas Edison and Henry Ford.
The Edison and Ford Winter Estates traces its roots back to 1885, when Edison bought the Seminole Lodge to serve as his winter home. Ford followed suit in 1916 and bought the adjoining property to Edison?s, which he named ?The Mangoes?.
The Edison and Ford Winter Estates is composed of several attractions including the two historic homes, Edison?s gardens and Botanic Research Lab, and the Estates Museum. The site offers 20 acres of fun, beauty, and history. Aside from tours, the site is also available for events rentals for celebrations, meetings, and other kinds of gatherings.
