The Emmons Cottage is a historic house in Ormond Beach, Florida. It is best known for its current use, housing children?s art and other environmental programs hosted by the Ormond Memorial Art Museum.
The Emmons Cottage traces its roots back to 1885 when it was built by the Halifax River using native Florida Pine. It was set to be demolished, but when local artist Sang Roberson heard of the news, she immediately bought the structure and donated it to the museum. It was quickly transported to its current location with the help of the Garden Club of the Halifax Country and the City of Ormond Beach. The said groups also helped refurbish the historic cottage, restoring it to its present condition.
