The Everglades Wonder Gardens is a zoological park located in Bonita Springs, Florida. It is best known for being an ?Old? Florida attraction.

Opened in 1936 by brothers Wilford and Lester Piper, also known as the ?Mountain Men of the Everglades?, the Everglades Wonder Gardens is filled with amazing stuff more than anything else. It?s not as pretty as other Florida locations, especially since its roughness is its charm.

The Everglades Wonder Gardens offers close encounters with alligators, Florida panthers, black bears, and other native wildlife in an environment that is designed to emulate a ?natural? outdoor setting, except for the fences to keep the gators at bay. It also features a botanical garden and a museum that tells of the area?s Native American history.
