The Faver Dykes State Park is a popular bird watching site located along the Pellicer Creek as it winds towards the Matanzas River.

Famous for its unspoiled beauty, the Faver-Dykes State Park is a mecca for local and regional bird watchers and birding enthusiasts. This is mainly because of the over one hundred species of birds that travel through here during their annual spring and fall migrations. Examples of such birds are egrets, wood storks, whit ibis, and herons. Other animal species common in the state can also be found here such as deer, turkeys, hawks, bobcats and river otters.

Other than bird watching, there are other activities that can be conducted in the parks such as canoeing, fishing, picnics, and nature walks.
