The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is a photography museum in Tampa, Florida. It is best known for its goals of collecting, preserving, and exhibiting historic and contemporary works made by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists.

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts started out in 2001 when Cynthia L. Flowers thought of starting a photography museum in Tampa. She was aided by several locals and so the Tampa Gallery of Photographic Arts was born. It was renamed in 2006 in order to better distinguish the site?s mission and purpose. It was also moved to its current location around the time.

Today, the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts continues to showcase quality exhibits in the field of photography. The site is open on Tuesdays through Sundays.
