The Fort Caroline National Memorial is a historic site in Jacksonville, Florida. It is best noted for being a memorial built for the first French colony in the United States.

Fort Caroline National Memorial commemorates Fort Caroline, established in 1564 under the leadership of Rene Goulaine de Laudonniere. Named after Kings Charles IX as Fort de la Caroline which could translate to ?land of Charles?, it was originally intended to serve as a refuge for the Huguenots who are escaping France. It did serve as such for at least a year, until the fort was obliterated by the Spaniards.

Fort Caroline National Memorial has some reproduced remnants and markers of what could have been Fort Caroline. The site is open to the public daily for free.
