The Fort East Martello Museum & Gardens is a historic site and attraction in Key West, Florida. It features the historic Fort Martello which was built during the Civil War but didn’t see any action.

Fort East Martello is best noted for its excellent design, said to be impenetrable, which was fashioned after the coastal Martello watchtowers of Italy. Today, it is being used as a museum and tourist attraction, featuring several artifacts and historic items from the 19th and 20th centuries recovered from around the area. There are also some outdoor displays like the 80 year old playhouse located in the gardens.

Fort East Martello Museum & Gardens is open all week long. They charge a small entrance fee of $6 per person.
