The Fort Pierce Inlet State Park is a seaside state recreational area which features a half-mile beach area among other amenities for the park visitor.

Most activities in Fort Pierce Inlet State Park are centered around its beaches like beach combing, hiking, fishing, snorkeling, swimming, and scuba diving. Along the south end of the park is and area used by World War 2 divers, known then as frogmen, for training. This area is known as Dynamite Point and has a fantastic view that is perfect for bird watching.

Another great feature of Fort Pierce Inlet State Park is the Jack Island Preserve located one mile north of the park. Unfortunately the area is currently closed due to repairs to the access bridge leading to it.
