Part of the Gulf Coast barrier island chain, the Gasparilla Island State Park is an island park the features several historic sites important to the development of Boca Grande located in the state of Florida.

Situated off the Florida coast and separated by Charlotte harbor and Pine Island Sound from the mainland, Garparilla Island State Park was an important navigational landmark to seafarers in the days of sail. That is why the renowned Boca Grande Light House was built in the area. Today, the newly restored light house is operating as a museum featuring local history.

Other amenities in the park include picnic areas, pavilions, trails, and beaches. Activities available include swimming, cycling, fishing, hiking, diving, picnicking, wildlife viewing, and snorkeling.
