The Great Explorations Children?s Museum is a museum for kids in St. Petersburg, Florida. It is best noted for its excellent hands-on exhibits and activities.

The Great Explorations Children?s Museum was founded by the Junior League of St. Petersburg and Hands-On Inc. in 1986. It features several special exhibits and areas that focus on the senses of touch, sight, and sound. Some of their top highlights include their miniature market place, a life-sized tree house, a play area, veterinary office, and a fire station. Most of these are sponsored by private corporations and focuses on various topics. All of which are designed to make learning fun for kids, though.

The Great Explorations Children?s Museum is open all week long until 4:30 pm.
