The Lightner Museum is an art and antiquities museum in St. Augustine, Florida. It is best known for being hailed as the ?Smithsonian of the South?.

Opened in 1948, the Lightner Museum offers a lot of things to its visitors. For one, it is housed in the historic Alcazar Hotel, a Spanish Renaissance structure built in 1887 for Henry Flagler. It is one of the standing proofs of the area?s rich history and heritage.

The Lightner Museum occupies three floors of the former hotel. On display are various antiques and curiosities that will definitely fascinate, entertain, and educate its visitors. The site is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, except on Christmas Day with a regular adult admission of $10.
