Long Key State Park, located in Long Key, Florida, is a state park and recreational facility built on what was once an exclusive fishing resort during the early parts of the 20th century.

One of the key features of Long Key State Park is its foot trails. One of them, called the Golden Orb Trail goes through multiple natural communities and geographic formations. That trail ends on an observation post that features a panoramic view of the island. Other trails lead to wildlife watching opportunities on the island and at the beaches. Beachcombing on the island will lead to finding many shells and sea beans that often come from faraway rainforest. They are often brought about the island by the major ocean currents that move near the island.
